The Fatty Acid and Mineral Composition of Cobb 500 Broiler Meat Influenced by the Nettle (Urtica dioica) Dietary Supplementation, Broiler Gender and Muscle Portion

The objective of the present trial was to evaluate effects nettle leaves (Urtica dioica) supplementation, broiler gender and muscle portion on meat fatty acid mineral profiles. Prior trial, a total 600 one-day-old Cobb 500 chickens both genders, equally, were randomly divided into three groups: basal diet (control group) supplemented in last two weeks fattening with fresh (30 g/kg diet) or oven dry (5 diet). After reaching 42 days age, twenty birds per group selected (four box, genders equally) slaughtered, breasts drumsticks collected for analysis. supplementation increased MUFA lowered PUFA, n-6 n-6/n-3 ratio, mainly female broilers (p < 0.05).
